Alexandra Kershner
- FOR ALTADENA TOWN COUNCIL-
CENSUS TRACT 4613
VOTE: NOV. 1ST, 4TH, & 8TH
Election Dates: November 1st and 4th
HI, I'M ALEXANDRA

When I moved to Altadena five years ago, I knew that I had found home. What makes Altadena special is the real, everyday community we saw on full display during the Eaton Fire, where neighbors became first responders with hoses in hand to put out flames. Now, nearly a year later, those same neighbors are working tirelessly to support each other through mutual aid efforts.
I am running to fight for that spirit and to build an Altadena that doesn’t just survive, but thrives. An Altadena that is more resilient, equitable, and connected for all of us.
My professional experience in public health and wildfire recovery have given me the exact skills needed to deliver tangible results for you. I’ve helped neighbors navigate complex applications and connect them with vital resources— from disaster aid and rebuilding assistance, to free clinics and soil testing. I’ve helped people secure thousands of dollars in critical aid, and I’m ready to use these same skills to help our entire community navigate a stronger, faster recovery.
My experience has given me a unique toolkit for this role. I have a practical understanding of rebuilding from my work as a project coordinator in architecture, the critical thinking skills needed to find effective solutions from my background in research, and the commitment to bring us together through my experience coordinating community events. I'm ready to bring this hands-on experience and a fresh perspective to the council.
At the end of the day, I am a tenacious advocate and a neighbor who loves Altadena. This election is about our voice and our community.
And I want to fight for us.
WHY I'M READY
Tenacious Advocate in Crisis
In my work in wildfire recovery, I've helped families secure thousands of dollars in critical aid, navigating complex bureaucracies to cut through red tape and deliver tangible results when they need it most.
Frontline Experience
My time as a public health worker and an architectural project coordinator has given me a complete view—from seeing how systems fail people on the ground to understanding the nitty-gritty details of permits and rebuilding.
Data-Driven Leader
My background in research means I don't just guess, but I know how to find evidence-based solutions and use data to implement strategies that will actually work for our community.
Community Builder
From organizing events and facilitating a community connection, I know how to bring people together. I believe in creating spaces where authentic connection thrives, because knowing your neighbors builds a stronger, safer Altadena.
Solutions-Oriented
I'm not just pointing out problems; I'm focused on how to fix them. I have a proven track record of getting real, tangible solutions for people, and I'm ready to do the same for Altadena.
